This year saw a bumper number of people attend the event, with an estimated quarter of a million people descending on the area over the weekend for the annual event which took place throughout the three days from Friday to Sunday.
For those who weren’t fortunate enough to attend the event, it is known as one of the largest free festivals in the entire country and provides visitors with a wide range of food on offer, from organic donuts to locally sourced meats and cheeses and, of course, several succulent hog roasts for sale! All sorts of foods and a huge range of beverages teamed with a wide selection of music and entertainment of all varieties meant the recipe for success was always on the cards!
Also, there was up to 250 ships and boats in attendance throughout the festival, with visitors having the chance to board historic ships and help support and cheers the numerous boat races in the harbour.
