Barbequing is one of this years ‘hottest’ food trends

A recent survey has revealed some of the ‘hottest’ food trends for 2016, which include the use of local produce, barbequing and food trucks! So get on board with these fantastic trends by taking a look at our hog roast ovens for sale, the trendiest addition to any event!
The research by Impos, a point-of-sale business, showed a massive trend leading towards hand-crafted, locally sourced foods, with 44% of those surveyed saying the locally sourced produce is ‘the’ trend of 2016.
Next in the report, showed that “dude food” came a close second in the contending for the biggest food trend of 2016, gaining 33% of the votes.
For those who haven’t heard of “dude food” it is “anything salty, fatty and crisp”, mainly focusing around American-style burgers and barbeque foods. We think that a hog roast meets this trend in every way, don’t you?
Moving into the drinking trends, 51% of all responders noted that craft beers and ciders would remain to be the biggest thing of 2016, ditching the pre-mixed cocktails and opting for a more handcrafted and simpler take on drinking, particularly great as a refreshment during the warmer months.
Last but certainly not least, the research found at 36% of the hospitality sector agree that mobile food venues like food trucks, are the most popular selling spot, and have become a massive influence on this year’s food trends!
